Hanoi honours 90 valedictorians from universities

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi held a ceremony in the Temple of Literature on November 17 to honour 90 valedictorians from universities this year in the capital city.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi held a ceremonyin the Temple of Literature on November 17 to honour 90 valedictoriansfrom universities this year in the capital city.

Among them, 29 were male and the remainder were female.  

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the union's municipal committee Chu Hong Minh highlighted the national tradition of keening to learn. He said the municipal Party Committee and authorities haveissued policies to attract and nurture talents for many years to build a prosperous,civilised and modern capital city.

The official said the organisation of the ceremony aims to recognise students’ constant efforts during their learning process. He expressed his belief that under any circumstances, they will keeptheir high spirit and creativity to bring more achievements to the capital cityand the country.

It is the 19th consecutive year thatHanoi has honoured valedictorians from universities.This year included, a total of 1,969 valedictorians were honoured and receivedcertificates of merit from the municipal People’s Committee./.

OVs in Thailand preserve cultural legacy
