Hanoi (VNA) - An exhibition on the traditionsand development of three major cities in Vietnam - Hanoi in the north, Hue inthe central region, and HCM City in the south - opened at the capital’s Templeof Literature on October 5.
Organised by the Hanoi Department of Culture andSports, the exhibition aims to mark the 1,010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi,the 60th year of the Hanoi - Hue - Sai Gon (formerly HCM City) sister cityrelationship, and the 66th year of the capital’s liberation.
More than 300 photos and documents are on show, introducingthe traditions, cultural heritage, socio-economic achievements, and tourist attractionsof the three destinations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director ofthe Department Tran Thi Van Anh underlined that, over the years, people in thethree cities have nurtured a special sentiment for each other and remained united,contributing to the country’s reunification and construction.
