All nursery school children in Hanoi have access to new education programmes that improve their self-motivation, the municipal Department of Education and Training has said.
According to the department’s Deputy Director Pham Thi Hong Nga, after four years of implementing the new programme and three years of applying a set of standard curricula for 5-year-old children, Hanoi ’s nursery schools have gained good results.
Teachers participating in the programmes have established a better learning environment for children. Some use information technology software to organise learning and extracurricular activities, improving children’s engagement and interest at nursery schools.
To increase the quality of education in nursery schools, district education and training offices need to continue implementing the programmes, providing parents with necessary preparations for their children, and improving education so standards are consistent across the city, Nga said.-VNA
