Hanoi on the first day of deploying 22 COVID-19 checkpoints

The task of each checkpoint is to control vehicles entering Hanoi (motorbikes from provinces that still have cases of COVID-19 also will be checked); ensure security and order; guiding and divide traffic.

On the morning of July 14, 22 COVID-19 checkpoints were set up to check vehicles and people from other provinces entering Hanoi. Each post will have 11 officers on duty 24/24, divided into 4 shifts. They will check for rapid and RT-PCR COVID-19 test results.

The task of each checkpoint is to control vehicles entering Hanoi (motorbikes from provinces that still have cases of COVID-19 also will be checked); ensure security and order; guiding and divide traffic.

Public passenger transport vehicles such as intercity buses, buses, taxis, contract cars, tourist cars, and fixed-route buses will be inspected for epidemic prevention and control measures on vehicles.

As noted by our reporters at the Phap Van-Cau Gie toll station, where there is a large volume of traffic entering Hanoi from the southern provinces, officers were on duty from 6 a.m, with necessary equipment to perform their task. Determining that this is an important checkpoint, Mr. Tran Ngoc Duong - Deputy Director of Hanoi City's Public Security Department - was present to directly control the checkpoint.

On the morning of July 14, there were some vehicles, which from provinces still have COVID-19 cases, were forced to turn around. Most of the drivers agreed and cooperated with the authorities./.
