Hanoi standardizes shopping and culinary establishments

Hanoi capital city has focused on building standard shopping and culinary establishments serving tourists in order to well control the quality of goods and services as well as food safety and environmental hygiene.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi capital city has focused on buildingstandard shopping and culinary establishments serving tourists in order to wellcontrol the quality of goods and services as well as food safety andenvironmental hygiene.

After an assessment by the Hanoi Tourism Department, thosewhich meet all necessary requirements, receive a plate recognising that theyare capable of serving tourists.

At present, Hanoi has 32 shopping and 36 culinaryestablishments eligible to receive the plate.

These establishments are being introduced widely to travelagencies, domestic and foreign tourists via the media, the internet, and duringtourism promotion programmes.

Among them, Tan My Design, Lanhuong Fashion House, ChulaFashion House, Van Phuc Silk Company and OZ Silk shop are becoming attractivedestinations to tourists.

The department said that this move will help improve theimage and competitiveness of Hanoi, and diversify the capital’s tourismproducts.

The capital city of Hanoi is striving to welcome over 25.4million tourists, including 5.5 million foreigners, in 2018, confirming itselfas an attractive destination in the region and the world.

The year 2017 was considered a success for the city’stourism sector with 5 million foreign vacationers arriving in Hanoi, up 23percent against the previous year, surpassing the set target of 15 percent.-VNA
