A regional conference on vocational training in Vietnam, with the aim of seeking a breakthrough in vocational training quality, will be held in Hanoi on Oct. 10-11.
Deputy Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ngoc Phi said the two-day conference, jointly organised by the ministry and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, will focus on four themes.
Vocational training experts, policy makers and representatives of Vietnam’s and other ASEAN member countries’ manufacturers and businesses will discuss occupational standards, relations with businesses in vocational training, the development of skilled training staff and finance.
The conference aims to implement Vietnam’s national vocational training strategy for the 2011-2020 period and is expected to promote the cooperative relations among Vietnam, Germany and other ASEAN member nations in the field, Phi added./.
