The proposed routes are from My Dinh BusStation to Son Tay Bus Station, Yen Nghia Bus Station to Dang Xa Urban Area andthe National Hospital of Tropical Diseases to Times City. The three routes willbe managed by Bao Yen Tourism, Construction and Services Co. Ltd.

Buses, which have a capacity of carrying 50 passengers, will run every 15-20minutes with fares of 9,000 VND (38 US cents) on the first and second routesand 8,000 VND (0.34 US cents) on the third one.

According to the Hanoi Public TransportManagement and Operation Centre, CNG has many advantages. It does not adverselyaffect human health or the environment and compared with other fuels CNG ischeaper so it can help reduce production costs.

Experts say the price for 1 tonne of CNG is about 318 USD, nearly half theprice of gasoline and 42 percent of the price of diesel. They calculated thatbuses running on CNG would save 8,308 USD in fuel compared to diesel each year.

The buses were supposed to go intooperation on July 1 but there were delays due to the development of the gaspipelines and CNG filling stations, the centre said.

There is currently only one CNG fillingstation in Hanoi at Bao Yen’s headquarters in Dong Anh district.-VNA

Vietnam completes legal framework for forest carbon market

The draft decree on forest carbon sequestration and storage services marks the first attempt to establish a domestic standard for forest carbon while aligning with international carbon credit systems. It clearly defines eligible service providers and buyers, allowing both public and private entities to supply or purchase credits through contracts or a national carbon exchange.
