The municipal Department of Tourism reported the number of international arrivals to Hanoi is forecast to hit 3.14 million in the first half of this year, a surge of 52.6% year on year while domestic tourists are estimated at 10.3 million, up 6%.
Total revenue from tourism in the period is approximated at nearly 2.2 billion USD, a year-on-year expansion of 22.8%.
Hanoi has affirmed its position as a major tourism hub of the country while popularising its image and tourism brand both in the region and the world.
International organisations, experts, and tourism service providers have continued to nominate and honour Hanoi at prestigious, regional and international awards such as Asia’s Leading City Break Destination 2024 and Asia's Leading City Destination 2024.
The world's leading online travel platform Tripadvisor has honoured Hanoi in the category of the Best Food Destination in the World 2024./.
