Illustrative photo (Source: VNA) Hau Giang (VNA) – The Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang onNovember 23 signed a memorandum of understanding on agricultural cooperationwith Jeonnam-Gwangju agricultural technique association from the Republic ofKorea (RoK).
Addressing the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Nguyen Van Tuan briefed representatives of the association onnatural conditions and socio-economic development situation in the province.
Tuan showed his hope that in the coming time, the association will shareexperience with Hau Giang and support the province in accessing the RoK market.
The association should create favourable conditions for local agriculturalfirms and cooperatives to partner with RoK enterprises in producingagricultural products and whileassisting Hau Giang in high-technology agriculture.
Meanwhile, Kim Sam Sik, President of the Jeonnam-Gwangju agriculturaltechnique association, said that the association will work hard to support HauGiang and foster friendship and connectivity with the province.
This year, Hau Giang has signed a number of memoranda of understandingon agricultural cooperation with various RoK provinces, including those withJeonnam-Gwangju research institute and North Gyeongsang province.
Currently, Hau Giang has developed a number of agricultural material areas,including rice, sugarcane, fruit and aquaculture, meeting domestic and exportdemand. It has also built a 5,200 hectares hi-tech agricultural area with theaim of promoting agricultural growth towards higher technology and quality,focusing on rice, fruit and breeding.-VNA
