HCM City (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has called for investment in building an Intelligent Operations Centre (IOC) and a Socio-Economic Simulation and Forecast Centre.
The two centres are among the key measures in a master plan on developing Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city in the 2017-2020 period, with a vision to 2025.
A conference to call for investments in the two works was held in the city on September 15, with Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan in attendance.
The conference focused on calling on investors to share experience and technologies on building and launching a vision and criteria for building Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city, as well as to select investors for the city’s major construction projects.
From late 2017, the city issued a project on building the city into a smart city for the 2017-2025 period.
