HCM City, Japanese universities ink cooperation deal

Japan’s Hiroshima University will set up a training and research facility in Vietnam to increase exchange between Vietnamese and Japanese students.

An agreement to this effect was signed between the Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hiroshima University on Feb. 6.

The cooperation programme will open up more chances for Vietnamese students to study and for researchers of both universities to exchange experience, according to HCMC National University Vice Director, Le Quang Minh.

Director of Hiroshima University, Doctor Toshimasa Asahara said his university will associate with members of the HCMC National University to provide training on economics, transportation and medicine.

Hiroshima University is one of Japan’s largest public universities which specialises in economics and medicine and has 11 faculties and 20 research institutes and centres./.
