A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Standing Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee cum Vice Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Dua, is paying a visit to Phnom Penh.

The delegation held working sessions with the Head of the Standing Board of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee, Say Chum on Nov. 20, and with the Vice Secretary of the CPP’s Phnom Penh party committee Map Sarin on Nov. 19.

During the meetings, the two sides shared the same view that the two cities have established in-depth cooperative ties in economics, social issues, health care and education to benefit the two peoples.

The Vietnamese officials paid a floral tribute to a memorial dedicated to fallen Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia, visited the headquarters of the Overseas Vietnamese Association and presented gift to the association.

The delegation is scheduled to attend a Tourism-Investment-Trade Promotion seminar held by HCM City and visit the northwestern province of Battambang on November 21.-VNA
