HCM City (VNA) – Sport footwear maker Pouyuen Vietnam in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City, announced on November 2 that its over 38,000 workers have returned to work, or 70 percent of the total.
All of them tested negative to SARS-CoV-2.
Chairman of the company’s trade union Cu Phat Nghiep said its workers have been given at least one vaccine shot and the company will continue with vaccination. In order to ensure safety, it also offers rapid testing for workers every Tuesday. Those found positive to SARS-CoV-2 will be sent to the company’s temporary quarantine area while F1 cases will be under 14-day quarantine at home.
Pouyuen Vietnam now employs the largest number of workers in Ho Chi Minh City with over 56,000.
Since the fourth pandemic outbreak that hit the country in late April, it has partnered with the municipal health department and local authorities to follow prevention and control measures./.

Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung on October 21 decided to establish 12 teams to inspect the provision of assistance for employers and employees hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
