HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland FrontCommittee of Ho Chi Minh City on September 22 received medical supplies worth 373 billionVND (16.38 million USD) from businesses in support of the city's fight against COVID-19.
The medical supplies include 2 million rapid test kits manufactured inSwitzerland, valued at 250 billion VND, donated by T&T Group JSC and Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank and 2million quick test kits worth 123 billion VND, which were produced in the Republic ofKorea, granted by Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank).
Chairwoman of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee To Thi Bich Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the firms' assistance to HCM City.
She pledged to workclosely with the municipal Health Department to distribute the test kits to theright persons and to the right purpose, contributing to driving back thepandemic and bringing the city to new normal soon.
From July 1 to September 21, Ho Chi Minh City received over 2.1trillion VND from 177 units, organisations and individuals at homeand abroad for the fight against the pandemic./.
