More than 150 local businesses are showcasing their best products and services at a fair that opened in the central province of Binh Dinh on October 22.
The High-Quality Vietnamese Products Fair, the ninth of its kind held in the province, features 350 booths where a huge range of products are available, ranging from food to furniture and handicrafts to household utensils.
Organisers have launched a number of recreational and promotional programmes to attract customers.
According to Vu Kim Hanh, Chairwoman of the High-Quality Vietnamese Product Business Association, the fair will help foster a habit of consumers using Vietnamese goods.
She added that from the fourth quarter of this year, the association will carry out a programme to bring Vietnamese goods to supermarkets for sustainable sale and develop more channels to link producers and distributors in domestic, regional and global markets. This is in preparation for the country’s integration into the ASEAN Economic Community and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in the next couple of years.
Launched 17 years ago, the high-quality Vietnamese products programme aims to encourage local businesses to boost responsible production and increase customer confidence in Vietnamese goods through the organisation of fairs in all localities nationwide.-VNA
