Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) said it has organised 19 auctions so far this year, including three for capital withdrawal, five for initial public offerings (IPO) and one for purchase rights.
A total of more than 1 billion shares were auctioned, of which over 627 million shares were traded, equivalent to 63 percent. Some 9.8 trillion VND (431.2 million USD) worth of shares were collected after the 19 auctions.
The auctions for capital withdrawal remained attractive to investors. In May, there were an auction for capital divestment of Apatit Vietnam One Member Ltd. Co., at Vietnam Apatit Phosphorus JSC, and another auction for purchase rights of Airports Corporation of Vietnam.
Up to 14.99 million shares were ordered during the capital divestment auction as compared with only 10.5 million shares auctioned, which were sold out at the end of the auction.
Meanwhile, only 0.07 percent or 262,000 rights to buy shares of Airports Corporation of Vietnam were sold in the purchase right auction.
The HNX said there will be only one auction in June with more than 20.5 million of shares of Bac Dang Construction Corporation put on sale on June 18. -VNA
