With the support of local government of Caracas city, they had a meeting with 40 Venezuelan businesses, mostly operating in apparel, construction, environment, tourism and food industries.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Tin and Ambassador to Venezuela Ngo Tien Dung pointed to potential for mutual development by boosting bilateral affiliation in economics, trade and investment.

HCM City representatives and enterprises introduced the development prospects of industries in their city to their potential partners.

The Venezuelan side was interested in partnerships in the construction of social housings, apparel production and food product distribution.

They also showed interests in other products made by Vietnam such as paper, household appliances and farm produce.

The two sides pledged to continue exchanging information related to specific areas as well as updated regulations, policy and law of each country so as to enable them to realise their further cooperation agreements.-VNA
