In a recent interview granted to Vietnam News Agency’s correspondents in Cambodia, he said this proves Vietnam’s ability to create a place of negotiations between power countries.
According to Sok Touch, the selection of Hanoi as a location for the second summit between Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump on February 27-28 after the first in Singapore last year is partly because of the fact that Vietnam is no longer a low-income country but looking toward to a relatively high one and a typical sample of economic success.
It also demonstrates that Vietnam is a stable and secured country with security management capability, the expert said, adding that global investors can trust Vietnam as a safe investment destination.
Sok Touch said Vietnam will draw a lot of global attention through this event. Thousands of cameras around the world are turning to Vietnam and this is a great opportunity for the Southeast Asian country to promote its land and people.-VNA
