From late October to November 2025, historic floods struck Hue city and Da Nang city in central Vietnam, leaving the Hue Monuments Complex and the Hoi An ancient town underwater for days and causing significant damage.
Moussa Diarra, Cergy Deputy Mayor for International Cooperation, said that a support package of 25,000 EUR (28,810 USD) for Hue will be submitted to the City Council next December, and the Mayor has also sent a letter expressing solidarity to the leaders of Hue city.
The central city of Hue has so far received over 329 billion VND (over 12.5 million USD) from the central budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)'s agencies, and other localities to support flood recovery efforts.

The package include 58 rescue boats, 1,000 sets of bowls and dishes, 1,000 blankets, 1,000 bedding kits, 55 sets of tents, and a huge amount of canned food. It was transported to Hue on the same day for allocation to flood-stricken communities.
