New look for Hue tourism

After a period of construction, several boat piers on the Huong (Perfume) River in Hue city, Thua Thien-Hue province, have been completed. These new piers are expected to enhance river tourism, connect community and heritage sites, and offer fresh experiences for visitors to Hue.

This boat pier, which includes a book display street, is nearing completion. Once finished, it is anticipated to become a major new attraction in downtown Hue. As the new piers along the Perfume River officially open, tourism service providers plan to introduce additional tours to enrich visitor experiences.

The Perfume River now features five upgraded and newly built tourist piers funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Four of these piers are complete and set to become operational soon.

They have been fully developed, including access roads, waiting areas, and parking lots, and are strategically positioned to transport tourists to popular attractions.

The investment in modern, well-equipped piers not only enhances the urban landscape along the Perfume River but also provides the infrastructure necessary to attract businesses to invest in new tourist boats.

This will facilitate the creation of additional waterway tours that link community tourism sites with Hue’s historical landmarks and royal tombs./.
