Traditional craft villages of Vietnam honoured at Hue event

A space for exhibiting craft products and honouring artisans and traditional craft villages of Vietnam was opened at Tu Tuong Park in Hue city, the central province of Thua Thien - Hue, on April 28.

Thua Thien - Hue (VNA) – Aspace for exhibiting craft products and honouring artisans and traditional craftvillages of Vietnam was opened at Tu Tuong Park in Hue city, the centralprovince of Thua Thien - Hue, on April 28.

The event, part of the HueTraditional Craft Festival 2023, aims to help with the revitalisation,preservation, and promotion of the quintessence of traditional craft villagesin Vietnam.

Tran Song, Standing Vice Chairman ofthe People’s Committee of Hue city, said the space is a highlight of the HueTraditional Craft Festival 2023, giving artisans from 69 famous traditionalcraft villages in Thua Thien - Hue and some other localities a chance to shareexperience.

Here, more than 350 artisans fromfamous craft villages of Thua Thien - Hue, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and theprovinces of Hoa Binh, Thai Binh, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, and Nghe An will showtheir skills and steps to make signature products of their villages, includingwoven, wood, sculptured, lacquer, jewellery, bamboo, rattan, and incense ones.

Visitors to the space will have achance to not only admire artisans’ skills but also buy products and experienceproduction steps.

On this occasion, a space fordisplaying traditional craft products of foreign cities and organisations alsoopened, attracting artisans of some renowned traditional crafts from theRepublic of Korea and Japan.

The exhibition spaces will be openuntil May 5./.

HCM City to celebrate national reunification with record-breaking drone show

At 8:45 pm on April 30, all 10,500 drones will take to the sky, followed by a 15-minute fireworks display across 30 city locations at 9 pm., creating a festive and dazzling atmosphere, according to Nguyen Tat Kiet, head of the Performing Arts Division under the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.
