At the reception, Loi said that Singh and his delegation’s visit toVietnam is a good chance for the two countries’ armies to shareexperiences and seek fields of cooperation.
Thearmies have exchanged delegations in the past and helped providetraining in each other’s languages, Loi said, adding he hoped the tieswill continue to develop mutual benefits.
For hispart, Singh said he was happy with his first working trip to Vietnam andhoped the two countries’ armies would enhance cooperation in training,humanitarian services and search and rescue, and share experiences intaking part in the United Nations-run peacekeeping forces.
On the same day, Singh paid a courtesy call on General Phung QuangThanh, Vietnamese Minister of Defence, and met the Institute ofMilitary Strategies ’ officials./.
