Executive Director of India ’s Tata Group in Vietnam Indronil Sengupta has hailed the northern province of Ha Nam as a good base for its construction of a Titan watch factory.
Sengupta spoke highly of the local business climate, especially a set of 10 commitments covering the supplies of electricity, water and workforce for foreign investors.
Vu Dai Thang, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said Ha Nam borders the capital city of Hanoi and has roads connecting Noi Bai airport and Hai Phong seaport.
The province boasts an abundant source of manpower, a network of qualified vocational training centres, and six industrial zones accommodating nearly 200 foreign enterprises, he added.
He recommended Chau Son and Dong Van industrial parks as possible choices for the Tata’s factory.
As one of the largest multinational conglomerates in India, Tata Group encompasses various sectors, with Titan as the world’s fifth largest watch producer.-VNA
