Jakarta (VNA) – The 2020 Indonesia-Latin America and Caribbean Business Forum (INALAC) is slated for November 9-11, with 108 investment projects expected to be offered at the event.

Gusti Ngurah Swajaya, Director-General for Europe and America at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the projects to be offered cover 10 sectors, including tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, and other industries, in 11 regions.

As many as 130 Indonesian companies and 106 Latin American and Caribbean companies have registered to participate in the forum.

According to him, the investment value of Latin America and the Caribbean in Indonesia is still small, 44.01 million USD in 111 projects. The country hopes that investment from 33 countries in the region will increase thanks to this forum.

The archipelago nation also expects to increase business interaction and optimise the Latin American and Caribbean markets for Indonesian exports via INALAC./.
