Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto recently told the press that he will create more incentives and expand special economic zones (SEZs) so as to lure investors from Asia – Pacific.
Indonesia will become an unmissable investment destination for regional businesses, he stressed, stating anyone who opens factories in the SEZs will get special treatment ranging from corporate income tax reductions to streamlined licensing procedures.
The country now has 24 SEZs, most of them having effective operation and creating sustainable economic values. Foreign investors will find potential opportunities when investing in Indonesia to enhance production value chains across various sectors, he said.
Prabowo underscored Indonesia’ resolve to pursue industrialisation through downstream development policies, leveraging its diverse and abundant natural resources./.
