Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament Anis Matta met with a delegation of the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) headed by Chief Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue, on May 25 in Jakarta .
Ani Matta described the visit as laying a foundation for State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) and the Supreme Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BKPRI) to further their cooperation.
He expressed his pleasure at the result of the talks between the two audit agencies.
He told his guests that the Indonesian parliament was in the initial period of its reform process and that BKPRI was an important partner in this process, so close cooperation between the two audit agencies would be important to the two parliaments.
For his part, Hue praised Indonesia ’s role and achievements as ASEAN Chair in 2011 and expressed his high expectation for cooperation between the two sides.
He conveyed his wish that the Indonesian parliament would support cooperation towards the establishment of a supreme audit institution for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN SAI) by the end of this year in Bali , Indonesia .
The Vietnamese Chief Auditor also informed the host about the success of the May 22 elections of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term./.
