International stars to hit capital stage

Theconcert titled H-Artistry (formerly Hennessy Artistry after the brandymaking sponsors) will feature American Kelly Rowland, Australian TimOmaji (Timomatic), the Republic of Korea’s band Nemesis and Vietnamesesingers Trang Phap and DJ Slim V.

Rowland, a former Destiny's Child member, appeared at a press conference after arriving in Hanoi late on the night of April 15.

She said Destiny's Child had enabled her to travel around the world and make many friends and many fans.

She often talks to band members by phone, but said there was no talk of regrouping.

"I'mextremely excited about the warm welcome from Vietnamese fans. Ipromise to be extremely cute in the show tomorrow night," she said whenasked what dress she would wear for the show.

She will performwith musicians representing different genres of music. Tim Omaji, betterknown by his stage name, Timomatic, is a Nigerian-born Australiansinger-songwriter and dancer.

Omaji rose to fame as a contestanton Australia's So You Think You Can Dance in 2009. He was placedseventh. In 2011, he came third in Australia's Got Talent.

"It is not every day I get a chance to appear next to Kelly. And the food here is incredible," he said.

His performance will be accompanied by four dancers from Australia.

Theconcert will also feature a rock band from the Republic of Korea,Nemesis. Formed in 2001, the band's music can be categorised aspost-modern rock.

“This is the first time we have performed inVietnam. It is a joy. We feel comfortable because of the friendlyrelations” between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, said a bandmember.

Sharing the stage will be Vietnamese singer-songwriterand actress Trang Phap. Born in Hanoi, she moved to Paris at the age of10, but only started her artistic activities on her return.

She will sing two songs Choice and Version of You.

The H-Artistry concerts have entertained thousands of people in Vietnam since 2008.-VNA
