An official document regulating the settlement of international investment disputes ratified by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will come into effect on March 3.
The document’s stakeholders include state-owned agencies, organisations and individuals involved in the settlement of international investment disputes at international arbitration or authorised foreign jurisdiction agencies.
The document stipulates the stakeholders’ rights and offers guidelines for their collaboration in the settlement of possible disputes relating to foreign investors’ complaints.
The processes of hiring lawyers and technical experts and subpoenaing witness have also been laid out clearly.
The Ministry of Justice has been selected by the Government to be responsible for the work.-VNA
