An international seminar on the 1,000 th anniversary of Hanoi will be held in Hanoi from Oct. 7-9.
According to Phung Huu Phu, Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Training and Head of the seminar’s Steering Board, the seminar is expected to draw 500 domestic and foreign delegates.
So far, the seminar’s Steering Board has received 144 scientific reports, including 23 reports by scholars from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Germany, the US, Russia, Australia, Laos and Thailand.
Those reports will be divided into four categories: history-politic; culture; socio-economy; and natural conditions, environment and urban management. They will be printed in a summary record.
According to the board, the reports will discuss in detail the capital city’s fine traditions and values over the past 1,000 years of development, focusing on the Ho Chi Minh age and solutions to sustainably develop Hanoi in the next decades./.
