Iranian Ambassador receives peace insignia

Former ambassador of Iran Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi has been awarded the “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” insignia for his contributions to bolstering bilateral ties during his tenure in Vietnam.

The honour was presented to the diplomat at a ceremony held in Tehran on April 13.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese ambassador in Iran Nguyen HongThach highlighted the significant contributions of the diplomat tofortifying relations in politics, economics and culture between Vietnamand Iran during his term of office in the Southeast Asian country from2007-2012.

For his part, Shahidi affirmed that he will continueworking to consolidate and develop the relationship between the twonations.-VNA

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
