Japan donates fire-fighting equipment to Hanoi

The Japanese government will provide fire-fighting support to Hanoi through the provision of used fire trucks.

An agreement to this effect was signed by Japanese Ambassador Yasuaki Tanizaki and Colonel Nguyen Duc Nghi, Deputy Head of Hanoi Police Agency, at a ceremony in Hanoi on October 10.

The support was included in a project using non-refundable Japanese government aid to help Vietnam reduce damages caused by fires.

At the ceremony, Colonel Nghi thanked the Japanese diplomat and government for their assistance, saying the fire trucks would soon be used in Vietnam./.
