A project on improving the capacity of the Office of the Vietnam National Assembly (NA) with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was launched in Hanoi on July 11.

The project is set to assist the office in better performing its tasks in enforcing the amended Constitution, which was approved in 2013.

From now to July 2016, three training courses in Japan are planned for the office’s staff and new equipment will be installed for the NA’s library.

The project will cost around 130 million JPY (nearly 1.3 million USD).

Vice director of the office Nguyen Si Dung and JICA Vietnam Chief Representative Mori Mutsuya said the activity is part of Japan’s assistance to the Vietnam National Assemby.-VNA
