Hanoi (VNA) – Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association presented Nguyen Du Secondary School in downtown Hanoi a set of Smart Education solutions, worth 12 billion VND (528,000 USD), during an event on March 22.
The event was held by the municipal Department of Education and Training to hand over the Japanese gifts as a gesture to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2018).
2018 marks the 45th year of the two countries’ diplomatic ties, a milestone for both sides, Inamine Hidenobu, a Wanokai representative, remarked at the event.
To foster the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, the Wanokai presented the Smart Education solutions to Nguyen Du School in the hope that they will be widely applied in the city in the future, he said.
Tsuruo Ogawa, technical director of Jib Media Co., Ltd., Japan's NHK Television said, Smart education solutions support a hi-tech education with the use of advanced equipment and software for teaching, learning and management. The solutions will be used in 20 classes of the school, he added.
Director of the city’s Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung, for his part, thanked the Japanese side for the gift, saying it is important to the city’s effort to develop smart city. It also plays a significant role in promoting the two nations’ diplomatic ties, he noted.-VNA
