Hanoi (VNA) – Japan’s WanokaiInternational Culture Association presented Nguyen Du Secondary School indowntown Hanoi a set of Smart Education solutions, worth 12 billion VND (528,000USD), during an event on March 22.

The event was held by the municipal Departmentof Education and Training to hand over the Japanese gifts as a gesture to markthe 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties(1973-2018).

2018 marks the 45th year of the two countries’diplomatic ties, a milestone for both sides, Inamine Hidenobu, a Wanokairepresentative, remarked at the event.

To foster the cooperation between Vietnam andJapan, the Wanokai presented the Smart Education solutions to Nguyen Du Schoolin the hope that they will be widely applied in the city in the future, hesaid.

Tsuruo Ogawa, technical director of Jib MediaCo., Ltd., Japan's NHK Television said, Smart education solutions support ahi-tech education with the use of advanced equipment and software for teaching,learning and management. The solutions will be used in 20 classes of theschool, he added. 

Director of the city’s Department of Educationand Training Chu Xuan Dung, for his part, thanked the Japanese side for thegift, saying it is important to the city’s effort to develop smart city. Italso plays a significant role in promoting the two nations’ diplomatic ties, henoted.-VNA
