Japanese businesses have made great contributions to the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc province, affirmed Pham Van Vong, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

At a working session with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yasuaki Tanizaki on June 16, Vong expressed a wish that Japanese businesses will continue cooperation and investment in Vinh Phuc in all fields, creating a momentum for the province’s comprehensive development.

He expressed thanks to Japan for its past contributions and multifaceted assistance to Vinh Phuc province through a series of projects.

While expressing sympathy with the Japanese Ambassador over the great losses caused by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the provincial Party chief said he believes that the Japanese government and people, with their steadfast will and great efforts, will soon overcome the consequences of natural disaster and rebuild the economy.

He also spoke about the province’s socio-economic development situation, with active contributions by businesses operating in the locality, especially those from Japan , including Honda, Toyota and Nissin.

Vong asked the ambassador to continue calling on Japanese investors to invest in Vinh Phuc and help train human resources for the province.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador affirmed Japan will further boost cooperation with Vinh Phuc province in various fields, especially in improvement of the investment environment, education and training and tourism./.
