PM Nodasaid that the delegation’s visit reflected the goodwill of both Japanand Vietnam to boost the two countries’ comprehensive strategiccooperation.
Japan attaches importance to developing itsrelations with Vietnam and wants the relationship to become stronger inall fields, particularly defence, he said.
Minister Thanh saidthat his working visit to Japan aims to continue implementing theVietnam-Japan joint statement on the comprehensive development ofstrategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia signed by the twogovernments in 2010.
Earlier, Minister Thanh held talks with hisJapanese counterpart Yasuo Ichikawa in which both sides agreed toclosely cooperate in bilateral and multilateral forums. The two sidesalso signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral defencecooperation./.
