Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe once advisedpeople to read the book as it tells how Japanese people cope with naturaldisasters like earthquakes, tsunamis and drought along with man-made disasterssuch as nuclear power plant incidents and wars.
According to the World Bank, Vietnam will likelyface damage of more than 141.2 trillion VND (6.7 billion USD) due to naturaldisasters such as typhoons, floods or earthquakes in the next 50 years.
As estimated, about 60 percent of the country’stotal land area and 71 percent of its population are at risk of cyclones andfloods, the bank said.-VNA
