A ceremony to launch the event will be heldin Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An, the hometown ofPresident Ho Chi Minh by the Vietnam Youth Federation and the VietnamYoung Doctors’ Association.
This year’s campaignexpects to draw the participation of 5,000 young doctors, who willprovide free medical check-ups and medicines for around 70,000 peopleacross the country.
Under the programme, the doctorswill also offer free eye surgery for 1,000 old people and help enhanceawareness about cancer for 10,000 people. First-aid training andnutrition classes will be held for 5,000 teachers in 700 kindergartensand primary schools.
Through the festival, the organisers also hope to receive 20,000 blood units from young volunteer donators.
