Hanoi (VNA) – The knowledgequiz about history of the Vietnam - Laos special relations attracted over85,500 participants in its fifth week, held from 4pm on July 11 to 3pm on July18.

Among the 85,532 contestantsfrom Vietnam, Laos and some other countries, 36,533 answered all the 10questions correctly.

Earlier, the fourth week from 4pm on July 4 to 3pm on July 11 attracted 36,537 participants.

In the fifth week, aparticipant from the Dang Thuc Hua High School in Thanh Chuong district of NgheAn province won the first prize.

The second prizes went to aparticipant from the Vang Danh Coal Company in Uong Bi city of Quang Ninhprovince and another from the Minh Quang B Primary School in Hanoi’s Ba Vidistrict.

The third prizes belonged tocontestants from Hanoi and the provinces of Nam Dinh, Ben Tre, Ha Nam and NgheAn.

The localities with thelargest numbers of contestants in the week were Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Can Tho, HoChi Minh City and Hanoi, respectively.

The quizis available weekly on the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Online Newspaper (vietlao.dangcongsan.vn)and social network VCNet until September 5.

All Vietnamese and foreign nationals aged 14 and above areeligible to take part in the competition./.

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD). Of the total, approximately 5.28 trillion VND is earmarked for compensation and site clearance, around 1.15 trillion VND for construction and equipment, and nearly 287 billion VND for project management, consultancy, other expenses and contingencies.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways to launch first international direct flight on March 29

From March 29, passengers will be able to fly non-stop between Phu Quoc (Vietnam) and Taipei (Taiwan, China) on Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
