Hanoi (VNA) – The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) held a Korean cooking contest in Hanoi on June 30, drawing 10 Vietnamese chefs who are studying Korean language and cuisine.

The contestants cooked one of the four famous Korean dishes: Bibimbap (mixed rice), Japchae (mixed vermicelli), Bulgogi (grilled marinated beef) and Tteolbokki (stir-fried rice cake). They had three to five minutes to introduce their dishes.

Nguyen Dang An surpassed the other nine contestants to become the victor and will represent Vietnam at the final of the Korean Cooking Contest 2016 to be held in the RoK alongside the winners from 20 countries.

This was the second time the contest had been held in Vietnam. In 2015, a Vietnamese contestant entered the top five in the final event.-VNA
