Lao delegation visits Bac Ninh province

During hisworking session with the delegation, Secretary of Bac Ninh provincialParty Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee NguyenNhan Chien briefed the guests on the locality’s prominent achievementsin socio-economic development, especially its industrialisation effortand policies to attract foreign investment.

He affirmed that thetraditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos – and Bac Ninh andLao localities in particular – is continuously strengthened.

As part of the cooperation framework with Laos’ Houaphan province, BacNinh has provided assistance worth 16 billion VND (750,000 USD) to SamNeua district for the construction of schools, Chien said.

As many as 15 Lao students have been sent to study in Bac Ninh Pedagogy College.

Forhis part, Thoonglun Sisulith, who is also Deputy Prime Minister andForeign Minister of Laos, hailed Bac Ninh’s recent successes and thankedthe Vietnamese locality for the support to its Lao counterparts,especially Houaphan.

He expressed his hope that Bac Ninh will continue cooperating with and offering assistance to his country in the coming time.

Onthe occasion, the Lao delegation visited Do Temple in Tu Son town, PhatTich pagoda in Tien Du district and Samsung Company in Yen PhongIndustrial Park.-VNA

Foreign policy contributes to propelling Vietnam into new era

2024 saw Vietnam significantly expanding its diplomatic activities with numerous partners and at various important multilateral forums and mechanisms. The country’s key leaders conducted a total of 60 external activities, including paying 21 visits to foreign countries and attend major multilateral conferences, as well as hosting 25 delegations of foreign leaders to Vietnam.
