A resettlement area for the Sekaman 1 hydropower project within an energy agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Laos was inaugurated in Attapue, southern Laos on December 16.
Brocade weaving is a Lao ethnic people's tradition in Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province. But, it is at risk of falling into oblivion, raising concerns among local artisans.
The Lao ethnic minority group in Na Sang 1 village, Dien Bien district, the northern province of Dien Bien, organised the water splashing festival (Bun Huot Nam) from April 14-16.
