Lao Party General Secretary and President Chummaly Sayasone and National Assembly Chairman Pany Zathotu received a Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee delegation led by President Huynh Dam, in Vientiane on Nov. 25.
At the meetings, as part of his ongoing visit to Laos from Nov. 24-28, the VFF leader suggested that the two sides strengthen cooperation in front work and exchanges as well as diversify forms of friendship between localities, especially those sharing the borderline.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, Government, VFF and people are always proud of the Vietnam-Laos special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation that was fostered by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane as well as generations of the two countries’ leaders and people.
The VFF will do its utmost to bring the bilateral ties to a new level of development, he stressed.
The Lao leaders expressed the wish that in future, the two countries’ front organisations will strengthen the exchange of information, experience and mutual support as well as educate all people, especially younger generations, on the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam-Laos.
