Laos, Cambodia salute Vietnamese Party anniversary

The Central Committees of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the Cambodian People’s Party have sent messages of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on the 82nd founding anniversary of the CPV.

Pasasone daily newspaper, the organ of the LPRP, also ran an editorial on Feb. 3 to congratulate the CPV on its anniversary.

Theeditorial highlighted the establishment and development of the CPV aswell as its revolutionary feats over the past 82 years.

Therenovation initiated by the CPV has brought about social and politicalorder, fast and sustainable economic growth, unceasing improvement inpeople’s living conditions, defence and security stability, and enhancedthe country’s role and prestige in international and regional forums,it added./.

Vietnam, Cambodia step up defence cooperation

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said his country values defence cooperation with Vietnam, pledging to support and facilitate Vietnam’s efforts to locate and repatriate the remains of the volunteer soldiers. He also expressed his support for Vietnamese defence enterprises effectively operating in Cambodia.

Brazilian President begins state visit to Vietnam

President Lula da Silva is the first foreign head of state to pay a state visit to Vietnam in 2025. This is also the second time he has visited Vietnam as the head of state, after the first time in 2008.
