Lao Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Lien Thikeo said the funding is sourced from the Government’s budget, the World Bank (WB) and development partners. It will be used to implement the third phase of the Poverty Reduction Fund (PRF) programme initiated in 2002.
Over the past five years, the PRF programme has supported over 1,900 projects on education, health, transport, agriculture and forestry, benefiting over 700,000 people in rural areas each year.-VNA
