The President’s Office announced nine Laws, three Resolutions and one Ordinance in Hanoi on December 14.

They include the Law on the Amendment and Supplement to a number of Articles of the Electricity Law, the Cooperatives Law, the Publishing Law, the Anti-Corruption Law, the Law on Lawyers, the Law on Tax Management, the National Archives Law and the Resolution on conducting votes of confidence on those elected and approved by the National Assembly and the People’s Councils, the Resolution on gathering public opinions on the amended draft 1992 Constitution.

The Law on the Amendment and Supplement to a number of Articles of the Anti-Corruption Law, which will take effect from February 1, 2013, aims to strengthen and improve the efficiency of anti-corruption regulations. Under which, the National Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption does not belong to any law enforcement agency. Its apparatus and activities will be prescribed in Party documents.

The Law on the Amendment and Supplement to a number of Articles of the Electricity Law prioritises the development of power services in rural, mountainous, island and poor regions. It also defines that the price of electricity will be ruled by the market and regulated by the State.

The Resolution on gathering public opinions on the revised draft 1992 Constitution, running between January 2, 2013 and March 31, 2013, is to create all possible favourable conditions for the involvement of domestic and overseas Vietnamese.-VNA
