Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung have extended congratulations to their Chinese counterparts on China’s 64th National Day (October 1).

In their messages to General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and State President Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Zhang Dejiang , the Vietnamese leaders highlighted the achievements that the Chinese people have made over the past 64 years, especially those gained in the 35 years of implementing reforms and open-door policies.

They expressed their delight at the development of the two countries.

The Vietnamese leaders affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam are willing to join the Party, State and people of China in reinforcing the mutual understanding and trust, developing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries for the interests of both peoples and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Also on the occasion, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh extended greetings to his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.-VNA
