– Party General Secretary To Lam held a reception for outgoing Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen in Hanoi on November 7.

The Party leader commended his guest’s significant contributions during his term, particularly the efforts to support the transfer of the Abdala vaccine and send Cuban medical experts to Vietnam in the most challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read full story

– State President Luong Cuong has lauded outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen for his significant role in bolstering the time-honoured friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has presented a vision for the future of Cambodia - Laos - Myanmar - Vietnam (CLMV) cooperation, proposing some suggestions aimed at fostering a dynamic region of sustainable development.

Addressing the 11th CLMV Summit in Kunming city, Yunnan province of China, on November 7, PM Chinh said CLMV countries are holding unprecedented advantages when the world is advancing to an era of connectivity and innovation. However, they are also facing numerous difficulties and challenges in terms of capital and human resources, along with the risk of lagging behind if they fail to make timely innovation. – A ceremony was held in the southern province of Tay Ninh’s Tan Bien district on November 7 to send off four search teams under Military Region 7, who are set to locate and repatriate the remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts in Cambodia during wartime as part of the 24th dry-season campaign for 2024 – 2025.

According to Colonel Thai Thanh Duc, Deputy Chief of Politics and Deputy Head of Steering Committee 515 at Military Region 7, data from various sources indicates that 606 graves are targeted for this campaign in 10 provinces across Cambodia. Red full story

– The 2025 Asia University Rankings (QS AUR 2025), recently published by UK-based education organisation Quacquarelli Symonds, features 17 Vietnamese universities, an increase of two from the previous edition, with Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Vinh University joining.

– The Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2024 (SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024) opened at the National Innovation Centre in Hanoi on November 7, under the theme of "Elevating Vietnam in the Global Semiconductor Supply Chain".
