The Luxembourg government will provide 42 million EUR to help Vietnam fulfill its socio-economic development targets during the 2011-2015 period.
An agreement was signed by the Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc and Luxembourg ’s Minister of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, Marie Josée Jacobs, in Hanoi on March 2.
This is the third cooperation programme signed by both governments, the two others covering the 2002-2005 and 2006-2010 periods.

The assistance will be provided by Luxembourg and organisations from the United Nations and the European Union.
Several poor localities such as the northern provinces of Cao Bang and Bac Kan and the central province of Thua Thien-Hue will receive special attention.
