- Malaysia Airlines said on July 19 that its flight from Australia's Brisbane to Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur was forced to turn back due to a technical problem.

The carrier’s flight MH134 that departed from Brisbane International Airport at 11:18 pm of July 19 (local time) to Kuala Lumpur performed an air turn back to Brisbane due to an unexpected technical issue that occurred after taking off.

The captain made the decision to return to Brisbane because the safety of all passengers and crew on board is of paramount importance at all times

The flight landed safely at Brisbane International Airport.

The aircraft is currently undergoing technical inspection and rectification, the carrier said. -VNA
