Kuala Lumpur police chief Tajuddin Md Isa said on September 25 that security in the Malaysian capital city is still under control despite threats of terrorist attacks at specific locations.
The officer said police view the advisory issued by the US Embassy with regards to safety and security very seriously.
He added police will investigate such claims, including meeting with the US Embassy to gather information.
On September 24, the US Embassy and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade recommended their countries’ citizens steer clear of Jalan Alor, a street popular among tourists in Kuala Lumpur, over fears of a possible terrorist attack.-VNA
